Sometimes while at work, or somewhere you don’t feel like being, you ask yourself, “Why am I here?” Often in those situations you don’t understand your circumstances and don’t realize the LORD’s purpose for the current situation. Leaning on the Everlasting Arms is always crucial in the believer’s life. These are the occurances that bring forth true growth in our lives as followers of Jesus. He truly knows and understands where we are, what we are feeling and where we are headed.

When we realize Jesus knows everything and knows our future now and that we are forever in His hand, we should not fret. The God of ALL creation loves us and takes care of us, as we are His children. What good father doesn’t take care of his children? We should constantly remind ourselves that the LORD is in control and He knows best, even if at the time we are miserable in our humanity. Sometimes when the trial is over, we get to reflect on what lessons were learned from the LORD and what the exact reasons were that we actually needed to endure and persevere.

The LORD is for sure trustworthy. The Scriptures below are especially good verses to memorize for times when we are being tested and don’t understand what we are going through.

Psalm 34:4 (NKJV) 4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:8 (NKJV) 8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
