May Agape Feast

Sorry for the confusion…

Due to weather concerns, we won’t be hosting the Agape feast at our house this month.  We’ll be in the 180 sanctuary as usual.

Out mission focus is the Forsyth Prison Ministry, and the “theme” is southern cooking.  So bring your favorite southern dish.

Ok, the agape feast is this Friday…  don’t forget to bring something.  Drinks, side dish, main dish or dessert.  The “theme” is South African, but if you don’t want to try a new recipe just bring a favorite.  If you can’t bring something, no problem, there will be plenty just come for the fellowship.

Looking forward to seeing you this Friday… we’ll be continuing discussion from the teaching topic of the month and other questions that have come up during discussion and in email.

Next Month’s Topic:  Is there a God: Part 2.  We’ll be looking at the argument from design: all the way from the microscopic, to the stellar and beyond.  As much as I love apologetics, this is not about me having fun.  The point is for you guys to learn, so please bring your questions.

CA: Why Bother

Okay… so about 5 months have ticked away very quickly and I wasn’t able to do near as much as I’d have liked.  But as I said I would, and thus far have not followed through with, I’ll be writing here as we go through our series.  Due in part to the small number of responses I got, and even more so due to the fact that I found a good course, I decided to use a christian apologetic course as the outline for this series.  To that, I’ll add content that I find relevant.

Paintball!!!!

Cross Road Young Adult men are gathering for an epic paintball battle.  All post high school men, ages 18 to early 30s are invited to join us as we pummel, in love, each other with paint.  We have 10 gun/mask combos that can be borrowed for the event, but you are welcome to bring your own gear.  There will be a $5 fee per tank of air and $5 fee per 250 balls.
